Walt Disney World Day 2: Animal Kingdom

For our first full day, we chose Animal Kingdom as our park and booked Dinosaur, Safari, and Lion King for our Fast Passes. We also booked early lunch at Tusker House with the safari-themed characters.

Animal Kingdom had extra magic hours this day so we arrived early, activated our military tickets (thanks R) and Memory Maker, and were on our way.

First stop was Dino world - we rode the triceratops ride, S rode the Primeval Whirl (and loved it!), and then we headed to the Dinosaur ride. C and N were both too small to ride it so we used Rider Swap and the big kids went twice - this is one ride I am glad C was not tall enough for as it would have scared her.

Pocahontas wasn't out yet so the kids played at a pretty cool play area before we headed over to 'Africa' for our safari. Fast pass on Safari was a great choice as it saved a ton of waiting time and the Safari itself was great - so many active animal to observe as we made our way through the experience.

Next stop was lunch - I really liked the food at this one and we lucked out because we got some last breakfast items too!

After lunch, we finally found Pocahontas for a visit!

We split up a bit at this point and I took S back to Primeval Whirl while everyone else went to The Little Nemo show. Great choice for everyone!

At this point, we were all a bit tired so we skipped out on Lion King and headed to our hotel for some relaxing and pool time before dinner at the hotel and early bed time to get ready for the half marathon the next morning.
