Disney Cruise - Iceland and Norway cruise Reykjavik day 2

After our lovely day the day before, I didn't have big plans for today - we were in Reykjavik until after lunch so had more time to finally explore the city.

We slept in a bit and then J headed out for a run off the ship before I headed off for a run too. It was an easy port to run from along the water and then back to the ship.

Disney provided a shuttle to the city this morning so we hopped on that to explore a bit.

Throughout our time in Iceland we kept noticing a 66 North brand so we found that shop and bought a birthday gift for my dad at this stop - we were vacationing over his birthday so figured something from our trip would be a good gift.

We kept walking towards the main church and stopped in a bookstore for some yummy cookies and water before finally making our way to the church. The inside is bright and airy and the outside is such interesting architecture.

We headed back towards the shuttle area and quickly got on the shuttle bus (with free WiFi for anyone that's interested) before going back on the ship for a light lunch and watching the ship sail away.

The afternoon was spent having a lot of fun on the ship. Lots of character visits  before and after dinner including some play time with Goofy in his mountain climbing gear as he asked the girls for 'help' climbing the stair cases.

We played music trivia, which we were bad at, and then another round of Who Am I. S totally rocked it again.

We did some formal pictures of the girls before dinner and then bundled up for the Freezing the Night Away party. This replaces Pirates Night on cruises in Northern Europe. We ended up in the front row which was quite fun.

Last up was some impromptu visits with princesses and the Oaken Maypole dance in the lobby. Both girls had ribbons to start with but C was getting tired and gave hers up to cuddle with me. S loved it.

Another great day in the books - off to Akureyri, Iceland the next day!
