Race Recap: Disney Princess Half Marathon

The day of the race arrived with a very early alarm as Disney advised we should be on the monorail by 3:30 am to have plenty of time for the 5:30am race start time. I had everything laid out and ready to make the morning as easy as possible - I chose a simple Snow White outfit while A chose Ariel. Coincidentally, this morning was also my date to book cruise activities for our upcoming vacation so I multi-tasked on the monorail over to Epcot.

Once getting off the monorail it felt like we walked quite awhile to get to the race area and then to find our corral. We ate our breakfast, chatted, and enjoyed the overall Disney mood until it was time to go.

The race was absolutely amazing and so much fun – I really cannot say enough about how well organized it was and how quickly the 13.1 miles went by. There was course entertainment, plenty of water stops, character stops, and lots of spectator spots. We chose to stop at Mrs Incredible, the Genie, and a few great photo opp spots along the course including in front of the castle and the Epcot ball.

There were photographers along the course and I was really enjoying it as evidenced by some of the shots they captured of me.

Upon finishing, we earned our gorgeous Snow White medals and took in a few more photo opps before meeting the guys and kids for hugs. Next up: a day at Epcot!
