Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom Day

Up next was Magic Kingdom Day – A scored us great reservations at Be Our Guest before the park opened which allowed for some good photo opps ahead of the crowds and also an extra ride on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride as we could ride once without using a FastPass. Oh and it was CA’s 5th birthday today – notice his great Birthday Boy shirts.

The Seven Dwarfs mine ride was amazing – C was tall enough for this one and was so proud. She was a little tentative at first and then genuinely loved it. If you ask her what her favorite part of the trip was, it definitely includes the ‘roller coaster’.

We split up for a bit and J took C to the carousel and It’s a small world while the rest of us went to Big Thunder Mountain. R took CA and S onto Splash Mountain and I switched with J for some time with C. C and I went to Aladdin magic carpet rides (which we always missed with S during our trips to Disney Paris) and then met Aladdin and Jasmine – anyone notice a resemblance of Aladdin to Uncle Travis?

We all met back up for our next FastPass at Peter Pan ride and then C decided she wanted a break so J took her to the hotel for some pool and daddy-daughter time.
The rest of us went to the Monsters Inc Funny show, the buzz lightyear ride, ate lunch, met Buzz, and enjoyed the people mover. We also rode the Speedway ride and let’s just say I am glad S has many years until we start the driving lessons.

We stopped for some sweets on Main Street and then went back to the pool for a break.
After a little while, we headed back to the MK – just a short walk from the hotel and split up again. I took C to meet Tiana and Rapunzel and also on the Ariel Grotto ride – I just kept getting fast passes. J and A took CA and S to ride Space Mountain after they watched the parade. I did rider swap and also rode with S – it definitely seems tamer as an adult than as an 8 year old myself.

We were all getting tired at this point but we powered through the tea cups before grabbing dinner at a café and watching the light show + fireworks while eating.
It was a full day and we all slept well that night.
