Our last few weeks of summer!

We've been enjoying the last few weeks of summer with lots of activities and S's transition to her regular pre-school program and new teacher.

Some highlights included:

Festival Fun: J's work had a nice party with a petting zoo, clowns, and bouncy house. We also went to the Taste of Blue Ash one evening and S enjoyed the rides and the great kids' area. Her favorite was the bumpy sack slides that she did with J and also the yummy gelato from a local shop.

Playing at the new park: Our suburb used to have a small airport that has now been closed and is being turned into an amazing park with playgrounds, bike paths, and many other family friendly activities. The first part of the playground has opened and we all love it!
More Birthday Party Fun: We had another birthday party for J's friend's son and they had a great bouncy house. W's mom is a professional photographer, who takes most of our pictures of S, and she captured this great one of S in the bouncy house.

Extracurricular fun:  The new session of Tumblebee's has started and S absolutely LOVES it - we do this every Saturday. S also has three 'extra' classes at school that she enjoys. Soccer Shots starts this week, Dance class started yesterday, and Stretch & Grow has been going on for a few weeks. She really enjoys Stretch & Grow, had fun at her first dance class, and will report on Soccer after she has it.

Pre-school Curriculum: S's permanent pre-K teacher is back from maternity leave and seems amazing.  Week 1 focused on Science and S learned about cause & effect and solid vs. liquid. vs gas. I absolutely loved talking to her about everything she learned and bringing some activities home. We even learned that sprinkles melt into yummy sprinkle cookies when you put them in the microwave.

We have lots of fun fall activities coming up, including my employer's day at Kings Island, various Halloween activities, and more birthday parties.

Most importantly though, we will be welcoming baby C within the next few weeks! The nursery is ready, the car seat bases are in the cars, and my hospital bag is packed.
