Today, we decided to take another day trip to Montreux. Montreux is a little over an hour drive away from Geneva and is right on the lake. It is home to a famous Jazz festival, which ended last weekend.
We had a relaxing morning at home and then left for Montreux mid-morning. S enjoyed the car ride and told us all about what she was seeing during the drive. The drive itself is beautiful too - lots of nice views of the lake and various towns to go back and see.
We arrived at Montreux and took a quick walk along the lake. We were hungry and saw a pizzeria so decided to eat there - they sat us right next to the window where the chef was making the pizzas, which S loved. After a good lunch, we went back to the lake area and S noticed a fun kid's ride right away. We bought the ticket and S was quickly on the front car (a train!). She really enjoyed the ride.
We then went for a walk through the market on the lake and continued down through the town. S enjoyed looking at all of the flowers and also seeing the ducks right on the water. After a nice walk, we stopped for some gelato and then decided to head home. S slept the whole way.
We will definitely go back to spend more time there and also enjoy some of the other things to do from Montreux.
Follow our family of four through our many travels and other adventures. We love to travel to new countries and also love Disney.
