We enjoyed another weekend in and around Geneva. Friday evening, we just relaxed and spent some time at Parc Bertrand.
On Saturday, we decided to head to the Saleve - The weather couldn't have been more perfect for this outing. The Saleve is a mountain near Geneva with a funicular that takes you to the top. It is just a short drive over the border into France and then you are there. S loved the ride up to the top and the views are just spectacular. Once to the top, we walked around and enjoyed the views, watched hang gliders take off, and did a short hike. We had sandwiches for lunch and played at the playground with S- she loved to pretend to drive the toy train that was there.
On Saturday evening, J headed to IKEA to buy some balcony furniture and we spent the evening relaxing on the balcony. S really enjoyed this!
On Sunday, we had a nice day too - we enjoyed breakfast at home of pancakes and eggs. After that, S and M headed out on a walk to the lake. Once at the lake, S loved watching the swans and ducks. She also showed Minnie the fountain :) We walked for a little bit and then stopped and had some ice cream. S was all smiles! It was a simple day, but a day that I definitely appreciated - I know S will eventually not want to do all of these things with me but I am so glad that we get to experience all of these adventures together.
Follow our family of four through our many travels and other adventures. We love to travel to new countries and also love Disney.
