First Family of Four Outing: Shaw Farms

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays and there are some great family friendly farms in Cincinnati so we decided to take an outing to Shaw Farms, which is about 25 minutes from our house this past weekend.

C is only 3 weeks old so I don't take her many places still, but being outside at the farm seemed safe to me so off we went.

We arrived fairly early and there wasn't much of a crowd at all - S enjoyed riding the kid's blue train around the farm twice- the first time with J and the second time all by herself.

S also chose 4 pumpkins for our porch - one for each of us and sized appropriately. We didn't carve them yet but we likely will.

After some more exploring, face painting, and lunch, we headed home. C seemed to enjoy the fresh air and then slept for awhile.

We have some more fun things coming up including a Halloween Walk in the Woods on Saturday, a SpookAPalooza party at Tumblebee's on Sunday, school party next Wednesday, and then actual trick or treat next Friday.
