Second Weekend with my parents: Paris

For my parent's second weekend in Geneva, we decided to head to Paris. Last time J and I were in Paris, I was pregnant with baby S but didn't know it yet (I found out on the same trip in Venice after we had left Paris).

We left for Paris on Friday afternoon and arrived via train late in the afternoon. I rented an apartment in the 4th district and it was a great location- very close to a subway station, bakeries, and grocery store. It had about 96 stairs to the apartment but everyone was a trooper and did well climbing the steps. We settled in and then headed out for dinner and a walk Friday evening - S loved her first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower.

On Saturday, we had a tour booked - it was nice- a bus tour, boat tour, and priority to the second level of the Eiffel Tower. The bus tour was a nice way to see the highlights and then the boat tour was relaxing. S loved to play on the boat. The Eiffel Tower was great - I love the Eiffel Tower and never fail to be amazed by its beauty. S and I rode the carousel right next to the Eiffel Tower - it was very fun - she was waving to everyone and seemed to understand it was a special carousel.

We enjoyed a long lunch after the Eiffel Tower and then went to the apartment for S's nap.

After naptime, we went back out for dinner and some shopping. We found a Disney Store for S and Banana Republic for me :)

We headed home on Sunday - the train was quite fun and S enjoyed looking at all of the animals in the countryside.
