Looking back....

As we make final preparations for our move, I have been looking back on the past 7 years and thinking about how much has changed. 7 years ago, I was preparing to start my full-time career- June 27, 2005 was my first day - and full of hope and excitement but also some nervousness. My emotions then were much like the emotions I am experiencing now; however, everything else is different.

7 years ago, J and I were living in an apartment near UC. We have since bought and sold our first house and bought our second house. That second house became home and it's quite nice knowing that we will come back to it.

7 years ago, J and I were just dating. We both knew we would be married someday and likely have children - we had no idea how amazing it would be to become husband and wife and then parents. S is amazing and her view of this expat adventure makes it that much more exciting for me.

7 years ago, I knew I wanted to travel the world. I have traveled a good amount and realized that many of my life's important moments have happened while traveling. With J, we got engaged in Chicago, found out I was pregnant in Venice, had one of the best days of our lives in Cinque Terre, baby-mooned in Sydney, took a family vacation to Denver, and many more..... For work, I have been in consumers' homes all around the world and have experienced some amazing things including Red Square during summer solstice, the Calgary Stampede, and local bars in Singapore, Japan, and Brazil. I know that we will continue to travel quite a bit over the next few years and look forward to making many more memories while doing so.

Until then, I have enjoyed looking back and have shared a few of my favorite photos.
