Thankful!

Living in Geneva certainly brings a different feel to November as Thanksgiving isn't celebrated here, but it is still nice to reflect on what we are thankful for and what things we are uniquely thankful for as expats.

I am beyond thankful for this wonderful opportunity that we have to live here, that we have an amazing and healthy daughter, and that we have adapted to living here really well.

Other things I am especially thankful for this year:

- Our nanny R - she is amazing - S and R get along incredibly well, R has gotten S to try many new foods and has helped her meet her good friends here, especially Ava and Nicholas.
- The patience of Swiss people when I speak in French!
- Steve Jobs and his amazing vision - the iPad makes my life so much more efficient and FaceTime is just what I need some days. Seeing S and my parents interact brings a smile to my face.
- The sheer beauty of the world - I have see the canals of Amsterdam, the beaches of Portugal, Mont Blanc, and many other amazing sites this year.
- My close friends who have been great support the past 6 months even though they are an ocean away.

Happy Thanksgiving!
