The start of our Summer 2017 Vacation - Day in Toronto

Our big summer vacation this year was one that I have been quite excited about - a Disney Northern European Cruise - it's been on my list for awhile and this year, it finally fit our schedules! Disney offered two sailings of this cruise itinerary this year and I chose the earlier summer one that fell right after school ended for S.

Our flight to Copenhagen went through Toronto and our original Cinci to Toronto flight was changed so we could either have a really long layover or a really short one. I opted for really long and a day to explore Toronto - but that meant a super early morning Cinci flight. We chose to leave home the evening before and stay near the airport. The girls loved it- they kept jumping on the beds and giggling together. Before I knew it, the alarm was going off to head to the airport.

All was easy at CVG - our nanny and her fiance were at the airport at the same time as us heading to Florida to look at wedding venues so the girls got to give her some extra hugs. This was especially nice for S as it was her actual 7th birthday.

Flight to Toronto was good with an exceptionally nice flight attendant who announced Happy Birthday to S, which made her smile/blush.

Highlights of our Toronto trip included a short walking tour, a nice boat tour around the islands, and a yummy lunch at a cool brewery right on the water. The girls enjoyed seeing the CN Tower and I was amazed how tall it is when you are up close. I have been to to Toronto before but never that close.

The family all napped on the way back to the airport and then we relaxed in the lounge for a bit before boarding our red eye to Copenhagen.
