Spring Break in Chicago


For Spring Break this year, S asked to go to Chicago.  We had talked about it when I was on a business trip here and also told her it was where we got engaged just over 10 years ago. 

Our drive was easy and after arriving we went out for deep dish pizza at the same restaurant we ate at the night before we got engaged.  


Highlights of our first full day include a lovely visit to the Shedd aquarium and also to the top of the Hancock building for amazing views. We did some shopping too. 

 


Highlights of our second full day include a a beautiful walk along the lake, a visit to Lincoln Park Zoo, and more time exploring Michigan avenue. 

For our last day, we played at a local playground and had lunch with J's cousin before driving home. 

It was a great mini spring break getaway.

    Hi Marie, It has been a long time since I visited your blog. I haven't been blogging much. When we moved my interest changed to gardening. Our new yard is a blank slate.I enjoyed all of your pics. The girls are growing up fast. I enjoyed my visit. Love Ya, Aunt Cathy
