Winter Wonderland in Beaver Creek, Colorado

For our winter family vacation, we spent 5 wonderful nights in Colorado. J went to Vail with my brothers earlier in 2015 and knew how much we would all love it so we decided to head to Beaver Creek (about 10 miles from Vail).

We flew to Denver early Saturday morning and arrived to a beautiful day. Our drive to Beaver Creek was gorgeous and we checked into the hotel.

Highlights from Day 1 include exploring the beautiful hotel and the nice kid's packet they gave us, including a lovely skiing rubber duck.

We ventured out into the snow for some snow angels and pictures before an early bedtime due to time change and tired little ladies.

Highlights of Day 2 (Sunday) include J's first day out on the slopes while the ladies all explored Beaver Creek Village. I didnt manage a picture of this, but Beaver Creek villagers hand out fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies each day and they are delightful.  We also headed into Vail Village for dinner at a pizzeria that J had gone to with my brothers.

Highlights of Day 3 (Monday) include early morning hotel exploration with the girls, S's first day of ski school, and C play time at the hotel game room. S graduated from level 0 to level 1 this day.

Highlights of Day 4 (Tuesday) include S's second day of ski school, more great skiing for J, a visit to Santa Claus (notice C is not in the picture as she is terrified of him), and dinner at the hotel's yummy restaurant.

Highlights of Day 5 (Wednesday) include J's last morning of skiing in great powder due to a nice snow the evening before, J&S enjoying the hotel pool, and then leaving Beaver Creek to head to our hotel in Denver for the night. We had a nice dinner and then were off to bed to head home on Christmas Eve.

Day 6 (Thursday) was our travel home day - the girls were fantastic. C slept almost the whole way home and we all enjoyed a great family vacation together.
