We enjoyed a long weekend in New York City earlier this month as an early 9 year anniversary trip. s had Monday off school so we took advantage of this and had a lovely time away. We had an amazing view of Central Park from our room.
On Saturday, we had a delightful breakfast at the hotel and then met up with my high school friend and her family to head to the Bronx Zoo. It was a perfect cool day. J's brother and girlfriend met us too. So much fun! I think everyone's favorite was the brown bears this trip.
After the zoo, we spent the afternoon with J's brother and girlfriend at their apartment. It was a great night.
Sunday morning started with Central Park views and then exploring the city.
We went to Times Square first and both girls were mesmerized. Their eyes lit up with all the lights. Our main destination was toys r us to ride the Ferris wheel and explore. S was happy we got the cozy coupe car.
We headed to Central Park next for a walk and playtime. It was a chilly day so we kept the trip short, Grabbed some lunch and headed back to hotel for a little quiet time.
We headed to battery park next to see the Statue of Liberty and explore that area. It was chilly so we didn't stay super long. Next up was the special stop for me - dylans candy bar. This shop is a fantastic experience and the candy we bought didn't disappoint. J's brother and girlfriend met us for a yummy Mexican dinner and then off to bed. S realized she still loves tacos this trip.
On Monday we had a nice breakfast with one of J's friends from corporate track and then headed to Central Park to play awhile. Baby C loved the swings.
We had a yummy Italian lunch and my grandpas namesake restaurant.
We headed back to Times Square and sophia chose an m&ms ornament and then it was time to collect our bags and head home.
