Our Little 3-year old!

I've read lots of places that 3 is actually more difficult than 2 for various reasons - at 3, kids tend to have more opinions, better reasoning skills, and the drive for more independence. I can see the point of view and there are times it might be a bit frustrating, but I am LOVING 3 and the changes in S over the past few months!

She picks her clothes every day - she has about 3 outfits that she loves and a handful more that she likes. With fall coming, we took her shopping to pick out warmer weather clothes yesterday - she chose 3 dresses, 2 tops, and some tights. She tried on a few others and quickly said no to them for one reason or another.

She wants to try to do things on her own - she can go potty, get dressed, and eat breakfast pretty much on her own. She likes to try to cut her dinner but often will ask for help. In the morning, she buckles her helmet (J rides her to school on the bike) and helps J lock and unlock his bike.

She is confident and she is silly - I love how sure of herself S already is. She makes up her mind and that is that. Sometimes, we have to guide otherwise (too cold to go outside in flip flops has been a common theme lately), which isn't the easiest but I do like that she can decide. I also love her silliness - from games with my parents over the iPad to dressing her dollies in her own PJs- there's lots of giggles in Geneva right now.

She is starting to like routine more and more. We have changed to a different bedtime routine that includes an iPad alarm when it is time to start getting ready for bed and she loves to listen for it.

All in all, S continues to be so much fun!
