Yvoire, France

Last Sunday, we decided we wanted to head out for a bit. There are so many possibilities within 1 hour of Geneva, but we chose to drive to Yvoire, France. Yvoire is a small medieval village with beautiful lakefront views and nice gardens. There are also shops and restaurants.

S was very excited to go to France and kept asking if we were there yet. Compared to leaving the US, it is quite anticlimatic to go to another country here- we just drove straight across the border and into S's 3rd country.  (Side Note: Within a few months, S will have been to more countries than US states (she's been to 6) - a fun milestone to track :).)

We arrived in Yvoire and found parking quite easily. The weather wasn't great, but we still enjoyed walking around the village - S loved holding the umbrella for us too . We had lunch at a pizzeria and then walked down to the lake. After a short bit, we decided it was time to go home and agreed we will definitely go back.
