First Few Days of School

S had two shortened days of school for her first week - 830-1130 on both Wednesday and Friday (Thursday was Geneva holiday so school was closed). - I am a week late posting this - her first day was September 4!

The transition to school has gone really well. S was extremely excited Tuesday evening and went to bed on time. She woke up super excited for school, ate a good breakfast, and then off to school we went. J and I dropped her off together for Day 1. S played with her friend Ava before we had to head off to their separate classrooms. Once upstairs, S said hi to her teacher, fed the classroom fish, and hugged us bye.

Her favorite parts of Day 1 were finger painting, holding hands in the circle, and playing with Ava during outside time.

We had a family celebration dinner Wednesday night at one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate - S especially enjoyed the Hello Kitty dessert.

Day 2 on Friday went really well too - she enjoyed the painting and singing this day.

Week 2 of school has gone well also.  She stays through 3pm on Tuesday and Thursday. She didn't like lunch on Tuesday (chicken with thai sauce and watermelon) but loved it on Thursday (spaghetti bolognese and sorbet). She says she has mostly played with Ava during outdoor time, but she mentions a friend named Tara from her class too.

All in all, it is going really well!
