It started off with a bit of a scare though as Friday morning S tweaked a muscle in her neck and was in quite a bit of pain. J and R (our awesome nanny) took S to the pediatrician, whose office is across the courtyard in the same apartment area, for a quick appointment. She checked S out and confirmed it was just a muscle issue and ordered some rest. By the time I got home from work on Friday, S was feeling much better and just relaxed Friday night. By Saturday morning, all was good!

J went skiing (his 4th country to ski in!) while S and I explored the town. We walked up and down the pedestrian area and visited a few stores.
We found a small restaurant for lunch and then enjoyed some gelato. After our dessert, we decided to enjoy the small town square and color. S quickly spotted a few boys, probably about 6-7 years old, playing soccer and quickly ran over to them. They were so nice and were teaching her how to kick the ball and kept having her score the goals. She was giggling and running around - it was so fun to watch!
After a few hours, J found us in town and we had another snack before returning to Geneva.
There was a memorial at the Mont Blanc Tunnel for the awful accident from 1999 that had traffic backed up - annoying but S was sound asleep and the scenery wasn't so bad.
Once back to Geneva, I headed out for my run to France and back (without S this time) and J and S enjoyed some time at the park.
Off to Munich next weekend!
I love your blog posts. I love to hear of your adventures. I was wondering, which language is S speaking...She is getting to experience so much at an early age. I think it is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy! S is speaking English mostly with some French here and there. She has one activity in French and she understands a decent amount from exposure out and about.
