More Highlights from our week in Geneva - a nanny, a lead school, and a day trip!

We had a busy week beyond house hunting in Geneva too.

Creches are quite hard to get into so J & M knew they would need a nanny for S until she starts international school in fall 2013. M had been watching the postings from her employer's board and saw a note for an available nanny that seemed like a perfect fit. J & M met the nanny (we will call her R) during the house hunting week and hired her on the spot. R is exactly what we are looking for - she is American, knows basic French, and is very outgoing - she is a great fit with what we wanted! S will meet R via Skype in the next few weeks.

J & M also toured the International School campus that we plan to send S to next year when she is 3. We loved the campus and have added S to the waiting list -there are 36 slots in the English section, so we are hoping that S gets in. This school has a beautiful campus, a warm environment, and is quite global - there are students from over 100 countries in the school (ages 3-18). The school is also a short drive or bike ride from the apartment.

Lastly, J & M had time to explore the areas surrounding Geneva. We rented a car and J drove around the city to our appointments. We then took advantage of a free afternoon and went to Annecy, France. Annecy is beautiful - the lake is gorgeous and has plenty of activities. The small town is cute too, including canals, gelato shops, and small restaurants. We can't wait to take S there once we settle in.
